Since June 2010 the cluster initiative Mikro-Nanotechnologie Thüringen e. V. has a new committee’s office in Jena’s famous JenTower. With this move from Erfurt to the heart of Jena the cluster provides a central meeting point for its members for consulting services and conferences.

Besides these geographical renovations it is more important to mention the MNT's internal expansions: new executive director Karsten Seifert, founder of Jena's FAKT PR agency and a locally experienced journalist, will lead the MNT's new committee's office. The department for press and public relations will be led by Janine Weller, a MA for political science, English and American studies and who contributes to the committee's office with her press experiences in print, broadcasting and corporate communications. Weller and Seifert already worked together in the past as journalists and pr-consultants.
